Recommended techniques: Airbrush or brush Available volumes: 100 ml dropper bottle Product FAQ What working pressure is best for this product? Airbrushing at 20-30 PSI will result in smooth and even layer of varnish. What size of nozzle should I use? For efficient varnishing we recommend 0.3 at the very least, ideally 0.4 nozzle. The product will work with smaller nozzles without problems but the varnishing process will be slower. Do I need to add airbrush thinner to spray the varnish? No, the varnish is best used out of the bottle, if you have problems spraying please check your equipment and adjust pressure to 20- 30 PSI. If you are using 0.2 or smaller nozzle you may add a bit of VMS Airbrush Thinner 2.0 for acrylics. There are air bubbles after shaking the product and it seems thick, is this a problem? No, air bubbles visible in airbrush cup (result of shaking the bottle prior using the product) are OK and of no consequence and will disappear once you start airbrushing. If the bubbles are there it simply means you shook your product well. Matte varnish is the thickest of the 3 types, satin type has medium thickness and the goss type is the thinnest - this is dictated by the amount of matting agent different in each product type. While the matte and satin varnishes may appear "too thick" it's just an impression, each type will easily go through a 0.4 nozzle thanks to small particle size. The apparent thickness and actual viscosity even if it seems "gel" to you is of no import. Please test spray your new varnish and let it dry on its own. Do so especially if it's your first time using the product and you will discover that no matter the apparent "thickness" it will spray and level fantastically. Matte type can be diluted with a very small amount VMS green label thinner if you are spraying during the summer or you are finishing your bottle and the product lost some of its flow capacity due to water evaporation. What's the drying time? Varnish will be dry to touch in around 30 minutes, if you force dry (hair dryer, low setting) it can be shortened to several minutes. Dry to touch equals low durability leave the varnish to cure so that it can attain its true potential. This is true for all acrylic products. What's the curing time? 3 -5 days equals 75% durability which is enough for you to exercise weathering techniques over such varnish layer. In two weeks varnish will reach 100% durability and maximum protective potential. What agent to use to clean my tools after using the varnish? Product is cleaned up very easily. We recommend VMS Airbrush Cleaners Pro acrylic or equivalent. What is the shelf life of the product? The shelf life minimum is around 24 months, longer if stored in cool and dark place. Don't store in temperatures below 5 °C or in direct sunlight! BACK

Your PE parts under control! This CA glue forms flexible bond that withstands much more punishment than classic brittle CA. Photo-etched under control! Photo-etched parts are a great way to add detail to your models, still in isn't always easy to position and affix them them well. General use CA bonds too quickly to position the parts well, forms brittle bond and attacks plastic. Flexy 5k is the opposite of standard CA + it comes in 20 gr bottle! Flexy 5k allows you to easily position PE parts and the resulting flexible bond is way more durable and not brittle at all! Flexible CA bond! Have you ever lost or have to re-glue some PE parts during painting or weathering or maybe just by accident why manipulating your model? If so this glue is for you! Flexible bond created with Flexy 5k withstands much more punishment than classic brittle CA. This essentially means less accidentally lost parts and more productive and enjoyable work as there is much less need to reglue more vulnerable parts such as antennas, clamps, clasps, wing nuts and the like. 1.5x longer manipulation time Extended open time of our photo etch glue (150% the standard CA) allows for good positioning of PE parts. You will also be able to glue tricky parts (both PS and metal) that produce tension. Gluing metal to metal works fine as well, please look at the photo on the top left of the screen, lamp guard on this tank was made out of copper wire. Segments were glued together with just the Flexy 5k, no soldering was needed, metal to metal adhesion is great and the bond durable! Dispensed glue is "live" for over 45 minutes! Not aggressive towards PS Flexy is less aggressive and more easily removed when necessary it doesn't "eat plastic" as classic CAs. therefore it is more easily removed when needed. Flexy 5k PE FAQ What's the best technique for precise application of the glue? Dispense a portion of photo-etch glue on a piece of styrene, glass or a metal sheet, never on cardboard as it will absorb your glue. Have a 10 cm long piece of straight brass or steel wire ready, its Ø 0.5-1 mm. The wire will act as your renewable glue applicator. Dip the tip of a brass or steel wire in the blob and then touch it to a PE part or the model itself. Bring the parts together. That's that! Now cut the tip of your applicator wire with your trusty modelling knife or better side cutters to start anew with a clean tip. Small parts can be held with tweezers and dipped in the blob without resorting to the wire. I have dispensed a portion of the glue as per instruction, how long till it becomes useless? A blob of glue is good about 45 minutes after it was dispensed. It gets thicker overtime. For best results and to conserve your glue dispense smaller blobs to always have a small amount of fresh glue at your disposal. I have misaligned my PE part and want to reposition it! Slide the tip of your hobby knife between the parts to separate them. Once the parts come apart scrub the remaining glue in the same manner, try sliding the tip between the glue remains and the part from the side, the glue will give in. PS may need some sanding after the procedure. You can also use VMS Debonder. I want to create a stronger metal to metal joint! To make a metal to metal joint stronger simply sand the more demanding parts such as tank skirts (schurzen) barrels etc. By doing so you will achieve the following: remove the patina, remove possible dip coatings some PE manufacturers apply over the frets, give the glue better adhesion thanks to the altered surface. Use 600 - 1000 grade paper and sand only the spots that will accept the glue. Joints created this way are up to 50% stronger than smooth, not sanded metal which can be problematic if unprepared. When you sand your brass fret you will see the change in colour, it's a sign of a well prepared surface. Please note: even apparently pristine frets are covered with some patina, it's natural for the brass to form a layer of it over time. If you can't see it it doesn't mean it's not there same goes for dip coatings. There are problems with the joints I've created! Fingerprints and any other residue don't help your cementing! Make sure you degrease surfaces and sand the more difficult metal parts if necessary to remove brass patina and/or dip coatings. Degreasing can be conducted with simple dish washing fluid for plastic parts. Metal can be degreased with dish washing fluid but you can also use more aggressive chemicals such as acetone which evaporates very quickly and requires no drying. We advise you degrease metal parts with VMS Styrene Cement (standard type) which is a solvent blend and degreases better than basic chemicals (pure acetone). What's the shelf life of the glue? Old formula (oval bottle, round bottle without pin in cap): Opened bottle can last 12-16 months and more (if stored in the fridge, opaque box). Unopened bottle will be good for 16-24 months and more, provided it's stored in temperature below 10 °C or lower (fridge, opaque box). Glue can be refrigerated but can't be frozen. Shelf life very much depends on usage, that is how often you open and use the glue so the figures given will vary. Storage in temperatures higher than 15 °C and sunlight will decrease the shelf life. New formula (round bottle with pin in cap): Opened bottle can last 12-24 months and more (if stored in the fridge, opaque box). Unopened bottle will be good for 24-36 months and more, provided it's stored in temperature below 10 °C or lower (fridge, opaque box). Glue can be refrigerated but can't be frozen. Shelf life very much depends on usage, that is how often you open and use the glue so the figures given will vary. Storage in temperatures higher than 15 °C and sunlight will decrease the shelf life. My glue bottle contents seem low? Yes, that's no mistake, all bottles are filled at around 1/2 of their capacity. The amount of glue will last an average modeller a 1.5-2 years. After that time it's a advised to acquire a new bottle due to the glue ageing. Bottle contents is 20 gr. BACK

Combine with: Any acrylic model paint Recommended techniques: Brush Available volumes: 30 ml dropper bottle Add to Cart Product FAQ How much will the open time be altered by the retarder? Usual increase in open time is 50-100% depending on the percentage of retarder added to the paint. How much retarder can I add to the paint? You can add between 10-30% of retarder which will also improve flow of your paint and reduce brush marks. Use maximum 1 drop of retarder per 2 drops of paint (30%). Paint is drying too slow I want to paint another layer! Use hair drier to speed up the process. Just remember to keep up a distance of 20-30 cm and use low setting. Is the retarder compatible with my paint? Slow-Mo retarders can be used with any leading brand of water-based acrylic paint. All that matters is that it's a water-based paint type. The product is compatible with acrylics by Vallejo®, Humbrol®, Tamiya®, Revell®, Model Master®, Italeri® Gunze® (only H series), Pactra® and equivalents. Not suited for solvent-based acrylics (Gunze® C series)! Can I use this product as an airbrush extender so as to mitigate tip drying? Yes, you can add some retarder along your usual paint thinner to slow drying time and make airbrushing more comfortable but Slow-Mo Retarders were formulated with painting with a brush in mind (brush icon on the label). For best results please use our newly formulated, airbrush-dedicated Slow-Mo Extender which is a concentrated product with twice the potency (airbrush icon on the label). BACK

Now you won't have to save cleaners as VMS products are designed for extensive work! Strictly for enamels! Blue "ENML" icon denotes a product suited to work with enamel (solvent based) paints. Enamels come in tinlets and glass jars. This product is compatible with enamels by Humbrol®, Tamiya®, Revell®, Model Master® and equivalents. Not suited for acrylics! Less harmful and still get the job done! Save more expensive airbrush thinner for painting. Clean your airbrush, brushes and other tools with just one wide-spectrum cleaner in a bottomless bottle. VMS Pro cleaners are low odour, next generation cleaning agents. We coupled high solvency power with medium evaporation rates which makes working with VMS cleaners much more comfortable as it takes much longer for Cleaners Pro to create a cloud of fumes in your workplace. Cleaners Pro don't contain acetone, MEK, toluene or similar industrial "heavies". Both you and your airbrush will feel the difference, less headache for you, less damage to washers inside your tool! Airbrush Cleaners Pro Enamel solution Acetone free, low odour, cleaning agent for enamel paints. If ordinary enamel cleaners make you dizzy you will appreciate this modern formulation! This cleaner will cope with all the enamels out there + it is much more comfortable to work with as it is devoid of ketones, acetates and aromatics. This basically means less headache for you and less damage to rubber parts of your airbrush such as washers which are damaged when in contact with ketones (acetone, methyl isobuthyl ketone, MEK) and acetates. Recommended techniques: Cleaning product for airbrush and tools Combine with: All enamel paint brands Available volumes: 200 ml bottle (can be diluted into 400 ml of economical solution) Add to Cart Cleaners Pro ENML FAQ Can I clean my model with this cleaner? Not really, the cleaner is potent and it could damage plastic overtime. For paint stripping use dedicated paint stripper - VMS Clean Slate rmvr 2.0 which doesn't damage plastic even after prolonged contact. Should I rinse my airbrush and tools after cleaning? It is advised to rinse with plain airbrush thinner after cleaning is done to get rid of excessive cleaner, alternatively you may wipe wipe inside of airbrush cup and brushes with a cloth to soak up the remaining cleaner. The cleaner will evaporate overtime anyway. There is a IFormulator icon on my cleaner solution bottle label. Does it mean that I can formulate just as with concentrate? You may use our cleaning solution to formulate but the formulation ratio is locked and is 1:1. To formulate mix the solution with technical grade white spirit in 1:1 ratio. Our solution is rich enough for you to do that but formulating using concentrate ratios (1:4, 3:7 or 2:3) will yield weak product. Can I use this product in an ultrasonic cleaner? Absolutely you can! The cleaner is very potent in its own right and when coupled with an ultrasonic cleaner it will work wonders! You can use the cleaner right out of the bottle or dilute it with technical grade white spirit in 1:1 ratio to conserve the cleaning fluid. For higher capacity ultrasonic cleaners you may want to try concentrated version of cleaner which will yield more cleaning fluid. BACK
