Step 2: Activate tracks by soaking them in activating fluid (orange label bottle) for 20 minutes,
Step 3: Blacken tracks for 4-6 minutes using 50 ml of blackening fluid (grey label bottle) and 200 ml of hot water,

For best results please watch the product video with additional tips regarding the procedure!
How many tracks sets will I be able to finish?
Blackening fluid is a concentrate and allows you to prepare 1000 ml (33.8 oz) of blackening fluid. To finish one set of tracks you need 250 ml (8.45 oz). You will be able to finish 4 sets of tracks.
Can I reuse the activating fluid?
Yes, the activating fluid is reusable, simply pour it back to the bottle for the next time you will be blackening your tracks. The activating fluid may be used around 4-6 times depending on the tracks size.
What is the mixing ratio of blackening fluid?
The ratio is 1:4. You need to use 50 ml of blackening fluid and 200 ml of hot water. For more fluid simply multiply this amount as you see fit for instance you may take 100 ml of blackening fluid and 400 ml of water to end up with a total of 500 ml.
What metal tracks brands are compatible?
System is Compatible with Friulmodel®, Masterclub® and similar white metal tracks.
Is the result permanent?
Yes, after you burnish the tracks the colour is permanent and you can weather your tracks with usual solvent based weathering products such as VMS ENML 2.0 and Alkyd binders and pigments.
Does the Black Track Pro work with the metal Masterclub tracks. I don't know if there would be a reaction to the resin track pins used in these sets?
We've tested with both Friulmodel and Masterclub tracks. Pins were all right both during activation and blackening in hot bath. Resin itself is cast in much higher temperatures which makes it impervious to our system.
Can I use the product to blacken photo-etched parts; brass?
Yes, the product will work with PE sheets as shown below, PE part and photos courtesy of Miryoku.cz
